NEMTB with UNE and Armidale Regional Council are hosting the 2018 National Mountain Bike Championships in Armidale from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th February at UNE.

These events can only run with the assistance of volunteers. We require a significant number of volunteers for course marshal duties, first response course marshals and packdown to cover official practice and racing at the Booloominbah on Friday and SportUNE for all the above days.

NEMTB will be once again be using an online system that allows you to register  and choose the roles and timeslots that suit you. If you are unable to access a computer and you can also help, please ring Carolyn on 0428 539 414 who will be happy to complete the process for you.

To register follow the following link – http://mountainbikeaustraliamtba.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=26753

Or read below for further details and information.

There are two Event Centres – Sport UNE and the Booloominbah Homestead (Friday only)

Course marshalls duties are  to radio any issues such as accidents, rider complaints, spectator issues to the Marshall Co-ordinator,  and to supervise spectators at key points.

One of the Marshal positions is titled Marshalls First Aid Qualified. This person will need to be workplace first aid qualified. These positions will be positioned at the two main technical features on the XCO course and will act as a first responder before the onsite St John Ambulance Paramedics can get to the location to assist or evacuate the patient.
