The 5th race in the Winter Series of races run by the New England Mountain Bikers (NEMTB) is on this Sunday 7th August.  The main event is a multilap cross country mountain bike race over the extended 11.4 km track at the Armidale Pine Forest.  Open Race grade will do 3 laps (11.4 km per lap), Under 19's - 3 laps, Under 15's - 2 laps and Sport grade – 2 laps.
Kids of all ages are also welcome with a short course for the Under 12's.  Their race is over 2 laps (2.3km per lap).
The main race will require a MTBA licence or a day licence (available on the day for $15). The Under 12's short course ride will either need a MTBA Dirtmasters licence or participants licence ($5 on the day). A gold coin donation for all racers or riders is also appreciated. There is a separate 700 m kids track adjacent to the start/finish line which can be used.
Enter at the 2nd Gate off Pine Forest Rd (back of the Piney) and drive down the power lines to the start line.  Registration is open from 1:30pm with the start time 2:15 pm.
Riders of all abilities are invited to participate with easier B lines around every difficult A line.  MTB riding is a great way to keep fit.  All members of the public are encouraged to use the great tracks out at the Pine Forest with the long 11.4 winter track marked with black arrows.
