Races at the Piney on the same track each race 11:30am start, XCO format. Laps will be the same each race and will be determined and announced before the first race.
There will be a dirtmasters race from 11am

Northern Inland Cross Country Series (NIXCS)
All races are XCO formats - ~5km lap races.


Male and Female Elite
Male and Female 17-39
Male and Female 40+
Male and Female 50+
Male and Female U17
Male and Female U15

Male and Female U13

Male and Female  Recreational (no winner just participation for those who don't want to race with any pressure)
Dirtmasters on a special shortened track.

The age categories are based on the age you turn by the end of 2017.

Race 3 - Armidale - Winter Series Race 2/NIXCS Race 3 - Sunday 4 June - Piney

The third round of the 2017 NIXC Series will be held at the Armidale State Forest (Piney) on Sunday 4 June 2017. 

To get to the race start head north 4.9km along Rockvale Road from the Erskine St intersection (traffic lights)  and turn right into the carpark at the Pine Forest (3rd carpark at Piney just after the Tilbuster Bridge). 

As this event is part of the NEMTB Winter Series Races, entry is FREE for all NEMTB Members.  Please use the discount code of NEMTBMEMBER when you complete your online entry.  All other entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for Juniors.  Non MTBA members will need to buy a Day Licence for $25 for adults or $15 for juniors if racing, or $10 for a Recreational Licence or $7 for a Dirtmaster Participation Licence. 

Race start is at 11.30am with the Dirtmasters event starting at 11am.  There will be a sausage sizzle after the race.

The below map shows the course which will be raced. Spectators can park in the carpark and walk the couple hundred metres up the main trail to the open area where the course passes four times per lap.
