2018 NIXCS Series

2018 NIXCS Race 3 – SportUNE Mountain Bike Trails - Sunday 24 June

The third round of the 2018 NIXC Series will be held at the SportUNE Mountain Bike Trails on Sunday 24 June 2018.

To get to the race start head to the SportUNE complex on Sport Union Road in the University of New England (UNE) Campus. Turn right on Sport Union Road and park in the small carpark next to the tennis courts before you get to the main SportUNE complex. The trail head is directly behind the basket ball courts near the poplars, look for the large trail head sign.

Race Entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for Juniors. Non MTBA members will need to buy a Day Licence for $30 for adults or $18 for juniors if racing, or $10 for a Recreational Licence or $7 for a Dirtmaster Participation Licence.

Registration will start at 9.30am and needs to be completed by 10.15am

Race start is at 10.30am with the Dirtmasters event starting at 10am.

There will be a sausage sizzle after the race, sausage and bread $3, cool drinks $2

This is an XCO lap race with the following race categories:

Elite Male (7 Laps) and Female (6 Laps)

19-39 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

40+ Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

50+ Male (4 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

U19 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

U17 Male (4 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

U15 Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

Recreational Male (4 Laps) and Female (3 Laps) - Kermit and Poplars Loop (does not include Revelation climb)

U13 Dirtmasters Male and Female U13 (on a separate Dirtmaster loop) - Kermit Loop exiting at "Short Back" before Axe Head climb (first climb in Kermit)

The age for each category is based on the age you turn in 2018. Competitors can race up one grade subject to coach/commissaire approval. To control maximum race time junior riders may not be allowed to complete all their laps.

On line registration is the preferred option for race entry.
