2019 NIXCS Race 1 - Armidale Pine Forest - Sunday 19 May

The 2019 NIXC Series kicks off with the first round held at the Armidale State Forest (Piney) on Sunday 19 May 2019.

Please note that the race start will be at The Strip. Direction to the race start are as follows:

Head north 6.5km along Rockvale Road from the Erskine St intersection (traffic lights) and turn right into Pine Forest Road.

Drive 1.5km on Pine Forest Road and then turn right at the gate.

Follow the track below the power lines down the hill to The Strip.

Race Entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for Juniors.

Non MTBA members will need to buy a Day Licence for $33 for adults or $20 for juniors.

Registration will start at 10.30am and needs to be completed by 11.15am. Please register online so we can start the race on time.

If you have already registered for all the NEMTB Winter Series races (ie paid your $20 or $8) you do not have to register for this event again.

Race start is at 11.30am with the Dirtmasters (U13) event starting at 11am.

There will be a sausage sizzle after the race, sausage and bread $3, cool drinks $2

This is an XCO lap race with the following race categories on the Black Track

Elite Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

19-39 Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

40+ Male (2 Laps) and Female (2 Laps)

50+ Male (2 Laps) and Female (2 Laps)

U19 Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

U17 Male (2 Laps) and Female (2 Laps)

U15 Male (1 Laps) and Female (1 Laps)

Recreational Male and Female - Green Track loop - however many laps you like but no longer than 1pm.

U13 Dirtmasters Male and Female (on Big Dog's Den Loop) - approx 25min.

The age for each category is based on the age you turn in 2019. Competitors can race up one grade subject to coach/commissaire approval. To control maximum race time junior riders may not be allowed to complete all their laps.

2019 NIXCS Race 2 – SportUNE Mountain Bike Trails - Sunday 16 June

The second round of the 2019 NIXC Series will be held at the SportUNE Mountain Bike Trails on Sunday 16 June 2019.

To get to the race start head to the SportUNE complex on Sport Union Road in the University of New England (UNE) Campus. Turn right on Sport Union Road and park next to the tennis courts before you get to the main SportUNE complex. The trail head is directly behind the basket ball courts near the poplars, look for the large trail head sign. Race Entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for Juniors. Non MTBA members will need to buy a Day Licence for $33 for adults or $20 for juniors.

Registration will start at 10.30am and needs to be completed by 11.15am

Race start is at 11.30am with the Dirtmasters event starting at 11am.

This is an XCO lap race with the following race categories:

Elite Male (7 Laps) and Female (6 Laps)

19-39 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

40+ Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

50+ Male (4 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

U19 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

U17 Male (4 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

U15 Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

Recreational Male (4 Laps) and Female (3 Laps) - Green Kermit and Poplars Loop (does not include Revelation climb)

U13 Dirtmasters Male and Female U13 (on a separate Dirtmaster loop) - Kermit Loop exiting at "Short Back" before Axe Head climb (first climb in Kermit)

On line registration is the preferred option for race entry.

If you have already registered for all the NEMTB Winter Series races (ie paid your $20 or $8) you do not have to register for this event again.

2019 NIXCS Race 3 – Walcha Mountain Bike Track - Sunday 23 June

The third round of the 2019 NIXC Series will be held at the Walcha Mountain Bike Track on Sunday 23 June 2019.

To get to the race start head north 3.9km on Thunderbolts Way from the Walcha Roundabout on Oxley Hwy in the Town Centre. Then turn right into Ohio North Road. If coming from Armidale/Uralla you will need to turn left into Ohio North Road opposite the soccer fields.

Race Entry fees will be $10 for adults and $5 for Juniors. Non MTBA members will need to buy a Day Licence for $33 for adults or $20 for juniors.

Registration will start at 10.30am and needs to be completed by 11.15am

Race start is at 11.30am with the Dirtmasters event starting at 11am.

There will be a sausage sizzle after the race, sausage and bread $3, cool drinks $2

This is an XCO lap race on a 5-6km loop with the following race categories and laps:

Open Male (6 Laps) and Female (5 Laps)

19-39 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

40+ Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

50+ Male (3 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

U19 Male (5 Laps) and Female (4 Laps)

U17 Male (4 Laps) and Female (3 Laps)

U15 Male (3 Laps) and Female (2 Laps)

Recreational Male (3 Laps) and Female (2 Laps)

U13 Dirtmasters Male and Female U13 (on a separate Dirtmaster loop) – 20min riding

Note that this race is not part of the NEMTB Winter Series races and you must enter separately for this event.
