Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be some changes in how these races will be run.

Entries will be ONLINE ONLY, absolutely NO registrations on the day. You must hold a current MTBA or AusCycling membership or a trial membership https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial

We are still using the MTBA online registration system while transitioning under the new AusCycling structure. AusCycling has advised that at present there is an issue with the online system if you have renewed or taken out at new membership with AusCycling.

IF YOU HAVE A NEW AUSCYCLING MEMBERSHIP OR HAVE RENEWED YOUR OLD MTBA LICENCE FOR AN AUSCYCLING MEMBERSHIP, YOU NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE REGISTERING FOR AN EVENT:

Members who have a new AusCycling membership need to email their membership details to mos@auscycling.org.au. AusCycling will then set up an account in the registration system which you can use to register for events. Otherwise the system will charge you for a day licence. When emailing please explain what you are trying to do and inlcude your name, old MTBA number and new AusCycling number. AusCycling will extend the date on your MTBA membership to match the expiry dates on your AusCycling membership. Once this is done, you will be able to enter using your MTBA number. Thank you for your patience, AusCycling are working hard to rectify the problem.

IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING MTBA MEMBERSHIP (HASN’T BEEN RENEWED TO AUSCYCLING YET) PROCEED DIRECTLY TO THE REGISTRATION.

PLEASE NOTE:

- Currently all event entries are online only

- Due to the above issue it is recommended that you renew or take out your membership in advance of entering an event to avoid missing the event entry closure period.

We will be following our Covid-19 Safety Plan which will include practicing good hygiene, social distancing and recording all attendees including support personnel. Downloading the COVIDSafe App is strongly recommended. We will need everyone’s help and consideration. The key focus is on protecting participants and volunteers and this requires significant changes to the way we have done things previously.

We will be promoting a “Turn up, Participate, Leave” approach. Please practice physical distancing (stay 1.5m apart) and good hand hygiene (hand sanitiser is provided) before and after the race. You must not attend if in the last 14 days you have been unwell (cough, sore throat, fever or shortness of breath) or had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19. Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 during the event will be required to leave immediately. Do not congregate at the finish line and do not hug or shake hands.

By entering online your registration will capture your relevant details required for the Covid Register, support personnel/parents/caregivers must check in by scanning the QR code supplied at the gate when entering. Anyone considered by the race organisers to be ignoring the requirements will be required to leave. Not following our plan may jeopardise future races for everyone.

If you are a club member and you are planning on racing the summer and/or winter series races, you will be issued with a number plate which you will keep for the year and you will need to bring it to EVERY race. It is your responsibility to bring your number plate if you would like your race to be timed. If you have lost your plate you can purchase a new plate for $5.00 under by pressing the buy now button below and selecting the "other" catgeory - I need a new race plate in the online registration process. There will be no extra plates available at the race. If you plan on doing the odd race here or there and you do not want to pay for the whole summer series you will be issued a race plate for every race with a new timing chip. ($10 per adult and $5 per junior per race to cover the cost of the plate)

The race start will be in a grid formation with a 1.5m distance between racers. There will be no race briefing at race start. You MUST read the race briefing here.
