Location: The Piney (Armidale State Forest)

About the races……
The Winter races are held during Autumn thru Winter and is a 1.5 to 2 hour cross country (XC) race.
This year we've reduced the number of events while planning for an event in early Spring - more details to follow.
Riders can choose to come for some a social ride, social racing or just go hard.
The race will start at 11:30 am. Please check the Facebook page for updates as we get closer to the event as the venue may change due to track conditions etc.

Cross Country style racing across an identified course at each venue.
The course at The Piney will cover a distance of ~5 km including the tracks 16 Beers, Makin' Bacon, Ding Whit, Big Dogs, Ghost, etc., with riders completing a set number of laps of the course. The number of laps depends on the race category entered and is set by the race marshal during the race briefing.

Registration and Race Plate collection is from 10.45am.
The Junior (U13) race will commence at 11am.
The racing starts at 11.30am for for all other categories.

NEMTB Members (& TAS members with Auscycling & NEMTB Club add-on):
Current NEMTB club members registered through AusCycling, just turn up at the race, get a race plate and then join the race lineup. No additional registration is needed.
Please note that you will need to read the following waiver (see below Terms and Conditions) and agree to this by signing onto the registration once a year.
TIP - Double check your race licence and NEMTB membership is still valid on https://auscycling.tidyhq.com/
TAS riders need to be registered through AusCycling with NEMTB club add-on to have a valid racing licence. TAS coaches will check your licences before you can race so double-check before on the link above. ONLINE ONLY.
Non-NEMTB Members (i.e. member of another Club):
Non-NEMTB members must register to participate in the race.
NEW Riders: If you are new or returning to racing and want to join in, you have three options:
Join NEMTB. Check here for options to join AusCycling and select "New England Mounter Bikers Inc" as your club . https://auscycling.org.au/become-a-member
Sign-up to race as a non-member including a race license, or
Apply to AusCycling for a 4 week free trial (see https://auscycling.org.au/become-a-member/free-trial)
Please bring copy of your AusCycling registration or 4 week trial with you.
Race Plates
Race Plates
If you have been issued a number plate from a previous race i.e. NIXCS rounds or winter series races, you will NEED to bring it for these races. It is your responsibility to bring your number plate if you would like your race to be timed.
Otherwise you will be issued with a plate during registration.
