August 2026 Update - The Piney Rehabilitation Project 

The planned hazard reduction burn has been completed by FCNSW, with the majority of the piles of leftover timber now gone. We're now waiting on further information from FCNSW re planned timing of replanting the cleared area. Weed spraying across this area will be ongoing as part of ongoing site management.

Please pay attention to any signage indicating the area is closed during works in this area.

A recent inspection by the club committee confirmed that the previous trail network within the cleared area is all but non-existent. We're looking at options for rebuilding the trails including funding opportunities and infrastructure needs. 

Trails on the eastern side Donald Creek remain open and are easily accessible from the Pine Forest Road carpark. Note that we have been working to extend the trail network, with ~8km of trails now open.
