In the center of town 'Kooka' as it's known locally is short loop track with some big jumps, big berms and 2 short downhill sections (jump track or forest section). While compact in nature its a great place to take in the view (next to the lookout) while hitting up the jumps or learning to ride a mountain bike. The original track was built as a 4X race track by Australia's only 'Hall of Fame' mountain biker Glenn Jacobs and then fully refurbished in 2026 into a facility that caters for the jumpers, pumpers and those looking to get the heart rate up. Its a small compact trail in the center of town offering great progression and ability to learn. The jumps can be slowly rolled before working up the speed.
Roll in slow to learn, before long you will be getting air as well.
If an intense aerobic workout is more your thing, do a few laps of the 1.5km circuit. The all time record* stands at 10laps in 35min (non-eBike). Many have tried to beat it as part of the Summer Series racing, but its stood unbeaten for 10 years for a reason..
Kookaburra Crest is council owned but maintained and loved by NEMTB. As there are some serious jumps and structures please take your time to inspect the track before riding flat out.
