UNE Life 12 Hours In the Piney

Cancellation of the UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney

Following a challenging and wet couple of years we are disappointed to having to announce the cancellation of the 2022 UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney which was to be run on Saturday 5 November at SportUNE Mtb Trails

With the continued wet weather we will not be able to confidently prepare a suitably long course that will not be further damaged by the existing and expected continued wet weather.

We are therefore cancelling the event and now focus on preparing for the hosting the 2023 WEMBO 24 hour World Championships in conjunction with the AusCycling National Championships over the 3 & 4 Nov 2023.

NEMTB will be organising all existing entries into the 2022 UNE Life 12 Hours in the Piney to be refunded which is expected to take 4 weeks.

We look forward to 2023 and drier tracks. See you then.

Working Bees at Sport UNE 12-13 March

In preparation for the UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney, we are undertaking working bees on both Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March to prep the trails for the event.

The aim will be trip give all the trails a trim. Any assistance you can provide on either day would be a huge help in getting this done, ready for the race.

Please meet in the carpark behind the hockey fields at Sport UNE at 8am on either day. Bring along your whipper snipper, secateurs, loppers, shears, etc., hat, water and sunscreen.

UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney

The UNE Life 12 Hours In The Piney is happening on Saturday 2 April 2022, only two short months away.

The race will again be held at the SportUNE trails but with a major change - the grass sections have gone, swapped for 6km of brand new single track thanks to the awesome team at DirtArt. Details on the location and access to these new trails will follow. (As they are currently under construction, no access is permitted)

The event website is now live and can be accessed at https://www.12hoursinthepiney.com.au/ and provides all of the race details, format and related information, with event registration opening for early bird registrations on 15 February.

It's going to be an awesome event.
