2023 Spring Dirt Crits

NEMTB will be running Spring Dirt Crits for last quarter of 2023. The idea is these will be held on a ~1.2km long loop, wide trail for over taking, with low technical and climbing required. This means that you can use a commuter, mountain bike, single speed, gravel bike or probably even a roadie if your super keep!

Location - Park at the Hockey Carpark and ride/walk over to the race start at Footrot Flats, see course map below.

Dates - The series will start on Monday 16 Oct until Mon 18 Dec with the exception of 6 Nov following WEMBO World Championships.

Race Times - Start times for Race 8 (11 December) and Race 9 (18 December) is 5:30pm for all race categories.

About the races -

• Race categories

Open male/female 40+ male/female U15 male/female

U19 male/female 50+ male/female U13 male/female – participation event – not timed

E-Bikes male/female U17 male/female

• 20 minute and then first over the line

• No A or B lines as low tech but fast

• The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for junior members for the series or $10 adults and $5 junior per race

• Drafting is allowed

Entries - will be ONLINE ONLY, NO registrations on the day.  All riders require an AusCycling membership to race. If a rider is not an AusCycling member then a $44 per day race licence will need to be purchased on top of the below costs. AusCycling offers a free 4 week trial licence if you have not been a member previously. You can also use your Active Kids voucher if you need to renew your membership!

Race Plates - will be issued if you do not already have one from the Winter Series.   It is your responsibility to bring your race plate if you would like your race to be timed.
