Walcha Chapter of NEMTB are flying their colours proudly!

Chris and Speedy have been working on producing a MTB trail on the outskirts of Walcha, so a few of the NEMTB crew headed down for a couple of laps of the unique trails close to home.

The current track is 8.6 km through some grazing land with a good coverage of native woodlands. The track generally uses the natural topography, fallen timber, rock sections, a historical mine scratching and gullies to provide a scenic and varied trail. The trail is currently only marked with marker paint so keep your eyes peeled as you cruise. See the following link to Strava to find the trail head off Ohio North Rd and a trail map. As usual leave all gates the way you found them.

Well done again to Chris, Speedy, Caz and Jack for their efforts of working with the local authorities and putting the hard yards in to develop the track. The first race on the track will be on 20th July as a part of the NIXS (Northern Inland Cross Country Series) and is also the 4th Race of the NEMTB Winter Series watch for further information here.
