There’s still time to get a crew together and head to UNE 12 Hours In The Piney
Post date: Mar 3, 2012 12:50:15 PM
Wet weather – Not up here! All that rain in the south has not hit The Piney, so we have one fast dry track. So let your local tracks dry out and come up for a weekend of fun. Also check out the track map and description and consider going for a spin at the 4X track or Robbers Run/Fat Tyre Farm.
Registration On The Day - You can register on the day starting at 8am. Get there early to beat the crowds. Note a MTBA Licence or a Day Licence $20 is required. $5 for Dirtmasters. Entries are;
Solos $75 pp
Pairs $130 per team
Fours $220 per team
Juniors $25 pp (restrictions apply see race page for more details)
Dirtmasters event $5 at 2pm Saturday on dedicated track adjacent transition
Jason English is coming – The Solo 24 Hour World Champion is competing. As usual he will be making it challenging for the Solos to grab that 1st prize ($500) but will also be keeping the teams of four moving with his very impressive and consistent lap times.
Catering and Coffee – No need to bring all that food and cooking gear as Drummond Memorial has your breakfast, pasta, pikelets, burgers, etc, from 7:30am Saturday through to Sunday breakfast. Checkout the menu on race page.
AY-UP Demo Lights - Due to courier timing issues getting the demo lights from the Mountains to the Beach to UNE 12 Hours In The Piney they aren’t going to make it for the Friday night pre-race demos. But those who have booked a pair on the Saturday night don’t panic they will be ready to collect as planned early Saturday afternoon. Due to the interest being shown Ay-Up’s have decided to send a further 10 pairs! So if you’re struggling with lights for your team send an email to Peter Hosking. There will be a restriction of 1 pair per team and once they are booked you will need to register within 48 hours.
Struggling to pull a team together? - If you still needing other members contact Dave Harry and he will try and match you up.
