Heading to Toowoomba - Round 6 National Mountain Bike Series

The mountain bike season is gearing up with the final National Series Round 6 in Toowoomba on 5 March and National Champs on 20 March. Oceania Championships are then in Queenstown, New Zealand, on the following weekend.

This weekend a large contingent is heading to Toowoomba.

Sadly, for the fans of Holly Harris they will not see her race in Toowoomba as she is heading to Bendigo for the Oceania Road Cycling Championships before jumping back on the mountain bike for the National Championship two weeks later. All the best on those skinny tyres and all those rules and tactics!

Katherine Hosking will continue to race up in Juniors (U19) to hopefully retain the series lead. On the second day of racing she will be also looking to retain her series leader position in the Cross Country Criterion.

Michael Harris will be fighting hard with three others for the Series 3^rd place on the podium. There is only 1 point out of 200 separating the three! Michael showed an impressive turn of speed and endurance to take 3^rd position in the last round at Thredbo and continues to look very strong.

Jack Feltham is also lifting and bring the heat on at the right end of the season moving in Thredbo from around 8^th to 4^th and is now running 6^th in the series.

Emily Wooster competing in the U17 has all cylinders firing after having to recover from an injury caused by another rider back in Round 3 in Western Australia.

Fergus McQueen will be competing in his third round and looking to break through the illusive 13^th place in the U17 which he has achieved in the first two rounds.

Isabella Hosking is expected to put in a strong performance in the U15 with her performances in the local Summer Series Races indicating improved performance.

Harry Wooster and Sam Feltham will also compete in their 4^th National Round in the U15 and are currently ranked in 6^th and 8^th consecutively in the series.

A large contingent of the Two Wheel Academy Development squad are taking the big step and putting themselves out there by competing in their first National Round. Best of luck to Sarah Schalk, Alison Billings, Grace Ledingham, David Cook, Tom Cannington, Angus Apps and Joe Sewell.

Best of luck also goes to Paul Billing and John McQueen who will be competing in the Masters.
